Medically guided weight loss online involves more than one organization. Knowing which one does what is the clearest way to understand what LuneRx is — and what it is not.
A platform, not a practice.
LuneRx is a marketing and technology platform. We build and operate this website, run the assessment that collects your information, and coordinate the administrative side of a program. We do not practice medicine, we do not prescribe, and we do not dispense medication.
Clinical decisions are made by independent licensed providers who are not employed by LuneRx. Medication is compounded and shipped by state-licensed partner pharmacies that operate under the oversight of their state boards of pharmacy. Those are separate organizations with separate legal and professional obligations.
That separation is not a technicality. It is the reason no one at LuneRx can promise you a prescription, overrule a provider, or tell you a medication is appropriate for you. Only the reviewing provider can make that call.

What we require of the partners we work with
US licensure, verified
Providers who review assessments through LuneRx hold active licenses in the state where the patient is located. Pharmacies hold active state licensure and may only ship where they are permitted to.
A real clinical gate
A provider can and does decline to prescribe. An assessment is a request for evaluation, never an order, and completing one does not guarantee that any medication will be prescribed.
Compounding disclosed, not glossed
Compounded medications are prepared for an individual patient against a prescription. They are not FDA-approved, and we do not describe them as equivalent to, or generic versions of, any branded medication.
Your record stays clinical
Health information you provide is handled for the purpose of clinical review. The independent medical group and the dispensing pharmacy maintain their own records under their own obligations.
The organizations behind your program
We publish the legal names and contact details of every party involved, because you are entitled to know who is treating you and who is dispensing your medication.
If you have a clinical question, it belongs with the reviewing provider. If you have a question about the medication you received, the dispensing pharmacy is the right contact. Anything about your account, the website, or billing comes to LuneRx.
